Skeptical.
I went to see the doctor at Chiangmai Ram hospital because of my really bad coughing that lasted over a week. The facilities look new and modern, the staff are friendly and speak well-English and process is organized as many people described. However they gave me so many medicines and the price was so much higher than I expected. (5 kinds of medicine for a cough that's possibly caused by a cold or allergy; total cost me 1466baht). And the wait was really long, taking me over two hours to complete the whole process.
Not sure if this is necessary. This makes me skeptical about the morals behind the Thai medicine industry.

Went here after unsuccessfully seeking help at pharmacies due to a throat infection. Staff is very friendly and speak English. Take your passport with you. Got all medicine and diagnosis quickly. Including all paperwork for my Swiss insurance.

Chiang Mai Ram Hospital may be the best in Asia. Brilliant and kind doctors, nurses, support staff. Some of the doctors and staff are very pretty. I have come many times. They give a senior discount of 20%. Rooms are quite nice. The hospital has adequate sleeping sofa/bed plus another mattress, for family to sleep over. Nursing care is excellent. Medical and imaging equipment is excellent. I took this photo of the city on Friday, May 25th, 2018. Highly recommend this hospital and medical team.

I went in to have my medical exams taken so I can submit them to the Australia Bureau for my visa. As soon as i walked in I told them what I needed and why. They started right away on my papers and my exams.
Very clean. Very professional. Very Helpful. Highly recommend this hospital.

I injured my knee and went to Chiang Mai RAM hospital for treatment. The service was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, everybody was very caring, very efficient and spoke grate English. With minimal waiting time I was able to see an orthopedist. After a thorough exam he sent me for an x-ray and scheduled an MRI the next day. They obviously cannot bill an American insurance company, but they do offer a membership card with, I believe, a 10% or 20% discount. The cost was still substantially less than I was expecting to pay. It was a great experience considering I injured myself in a foreign country.
