Liposuction in Tunisia

Liposuction, also known as lipo, is a cosmetic surgery to remove unwanted fats in the body that will not shrink no matter how a person diets or exercise. The procedure can be done too many parts of the body, including the hips, belly, thighs, back, face, buttocks, and arms. It works for any person who is within 30% of their ideal weight but needs help to get rid of stubborn fat. Although the procedure is done to remove unwanted fats, it is important to know that liposuction is not a treatment for obesity.

There are several different techniques: tumescent liposuction, UAL, and SmartLipo. However, all of these use a thin tube attached to a vacuum to suction the fat. Before the procedure, the patient needs to undergo a series of tests and preparation. The patient needs to sign a consent form to make sure they are aware of the risks, benefits, and other alternatives. The anesthetic used for the procedure depends on the volume of fat removed, high volume requires general anesthesia, and low volume may be done under local anesthesia.

The surgery can last for 1 to 4 hours. Generally, individuals who have general anesthetic need to stay in the hospital for one night, but those with a local anesthetic may leave the hospital on the same day. Patients should wait for 3 to 5 days in Tunisia before going back to their home country. It may be required to wear support bandages for 1 to 2 months and take some antibiotics to prevent infection. After six to eight weeks of the recovery period, patients may be allowed to work and get back to their normal routine. The success rate is 85%. Note that the procedure does not remove cellulite or stretch marks, and it comes with possible risks. The result can be seen in around four weeks. Strictly follow your surgeon’s aftercare instructions and maintain a healthy diet to keep your new shape.
