Labiaplasty in Surat Thani

Also referred to as a Designer Vagina or labia minora reduction, Labiaplasty is plastic surgery to reduce the size or change the shape of the labia, usually to make them smaller or correct asymmetry between them. It can be performed on the labia major (the larger, outer vaginal lips) or the labia minor (the smaller, inner vaginal lips). It is commonly done on women who do not like the look of their labia. However, there are also cases where this type of surgery is done for medical reasons because labia minora can cause pain during sexual intercourse or physical discomfort. The surgery can be performed alone or with a vaginoplasty.

Labiaplasty can be carried out using general anesthetic or local anesthetic. There are two types of procedure: trim labiaplasty and wedge labiaplasty. In general, both types of procedure will reduce the length of your labia minora so that it will not hang below your labia majora. Your surgeon will cut away unwanted tissue with a scalpel or a laser. Then the incisions will be closed with fine, dissolvable stitches. Some patient may go home after the surgery; others may need to stay in the hospital for at least twenty-four hours.

Expect to feel some pain and discomfort for the first few days after the surgery, but your surgeon will prescribe pain medication. You should stay in the Surat Thani for at least seven to ten days post-op for initial recovery and follow-up checkups. You may go back to work within seven days, but you should refrain from strenuous activity and exercise, for at least a month. Make sure to follow your surgeon postoperative care instructions for a faster recovery and to avoid unwanted complications. The success rate of a labiaplasty is over 90%, but be aware there are some risks that may happen on rare occasions, such as bleeding and infection.
