With tuk-tuks, you have to agree on a price, but taxis are metered. Buses and motorbike taxis are other excellent modes of transport.
Visas
Tourists generally need a visa to enter and stay in Thailand. It is best to check at your nearest Thai embassy and consulate to learn about visa procedures and policy. However, nationals of 76 countries, including Singapore, the UK, and the US can enter and stay for up to 90 days without a visa. Citizens of China and India can apply for a visa on arrival.
Weather
The weather on the island is mostly hot and humid, with a constantly high temperature of 30 °C. The rainy season is from May to October, and you can expect to experience a lot of rain showers. December to March is the dry season, and the temperature will be cooler and there will only be a few rainy days.
