Sattahip is a town built around a deep-water port just south of Pattaya. It's a great area if you fancy a trip to the beach, and still want pure natural surroundings while staying within a taxi ride of Pattaya central. Nang Ram Beach is a choice beach in Sattahip. It's a 200 m long beach, close to the Sattahip port, and it attracts tourists and expats who appreciate pristine beaches in a calm setting. The shrine of the Father of the Royal Thai Navy (Kromluang Chumphonkhetudomsak) is set toward the end of the beach. The atmosphere here is peaceful, with lazy pine trees & rows of plumeria trees. You can also try fresh seafood at reasonable prices.
