American Heart of Poland was established in 2000 and is part of a network of over 20 specialized departments of interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery in Poland.
All the departments have 24-hour on-call Doctors on duty for patients with various forms of acute coronary syndrome, including acute myocardial infarction. Rapid medical intervention enables percutaneous coronary angioplasty (PCI) therapy, which significantly speeds up the treatment of infarction and is a key factor in the success of rapid recovery (a decrease in mortality in myocardial infarction from 30% to 3%). The team has pioneered the complex treatment for patients with diffuse coronary and peripheral atherosclerosis, and for the prevention of ischaemia. Moreover, this clinic specializes in complex interventions for patients who are unable to undergo cardiac surgical treatment.

For more affordable travel around the country, the train is the best option. Inside the cities, taxis and bikes are the best way to get around.
Visas
Poland is part of the Schengen Area. Several countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan, can enter the country without a visa for up to 90 days. EU citizens also do not need a visa to enter the country and can stay indefinitely. Other nationals are advised to check with their local Polish embassy.
Weather
Poland has a temperate climate. Spring comes in late March and ends in May, it is characterized by warmer weather and less rain. Summer is from June to August and has unpredictable weather and the temperatures are generally warm, sometimes reaching 30°C. September to November is autumn and the temperature starts to drop during this season. Winter is from December to early March and it can be very cold with the temperature dropping to -20°C.
